CONVERTED STABLES - Part of the Lime Park estate that once belonged to the Baron von Roemer, and his son, Charles de Roemer, this nice stable square has been converted to residential accommodation, the subject of a potential dispute under the Party Wall Act 1996, that was revealed in June of 2022, when the owner of this property failed to serve notice as to intended works. Other anomalies appear to be present in application WD/2022/0497/F.
It appears that Lime Park Estate Limited was formed by Peter Townley and Henry Arnell, for the express purpose of taking legal action to prevent one of the occupiers in the park from enjoying rights granted by virtue of a conveyance in 1981.
Lime Park Estate Limited took action against the then occupier of the old Generating Station (GS). They did not like the fact that he was taking sycamore trees down that were dangerously close to the heritage asset. Why, when that is good husbandry, raised other questions as to motive. They went after their target with all guns blazing, having first engaged Wealden District Council (WC) to put a blanket Tree Preservation (TPO) on the grounds surrounding the GS.
That factor appears, or is alleged to have been an act of oppression under company law.
Wealden were of course party to what may well amount to a criminal conspiracy, in working with the antagonists to apply legal pressure, and create a situation that was demonstrably harmful to the historic asset. Clearly, this pincer movement was designed to cause loss to their target, by way of unnecessary works to the grounds, had those trees not been the perpetual danger they were.
In order for this ruse to succeed, the antagonists (WD + neighbour conspiracy) needed to keep the history disproved. That meant not following correct procedure - and claim absent mindedness.
Lime Park Estate Limited lost that legal battle, in attempting to claim damages for a dead holly tree, that was not even within the geographical boundary of Lime Park.
This historical fact should not reflect on the current directors or company secretary. Though, the fact remains, that not all occupiers in Lime Park are represented as directors of this company.

INDUSTRIAL ARCHAEOLOGY - Perhaps not the most attractive of buildings, as it has fallen into a state of disrepair. This is mainly because Wealden District Council have done all they can to deny the building a reasonable and beneficial use, to pay for restorations, up to 2022. The Parish Council have been working with the district council on this. That is why the most important historic asset in Herstmonceux does not have an income for maintenance and general repairs. Residents within the park, had been working to purchase the complex at an undervalue. The local authority were helping Peter Townley in this regard, despite institutionalised discrimination being illegal as an agenda, conspiracy, or vendetta.
